Parking Your Car in Georgia
In Georgia, Parking fee is charged only in Tbilisi, Kutaisi & Batumi cities
Parking in Tbilisi
In Tbilisi the parking situation is managed by the company Parking Tbilisi.
You can park your car at any location where a subsequent sign [P] is present.
The parking areas are divided in three different kinds:
1- Central areas – hourly parking
2- Rest of the city – unified subscription payment parking
3- Some places – completely free to park. For example in Tbilisi: near the Bridge of Peace (opposite Rike Park) and near the Gabriadze Theater.
Areas with Hourly Parking
At such areas the sign [P] is followed by another sign which indicates zone number and hourly rate.
If you park here you must pay from the moment of parking.
There are 2 ways to pay for parking there:
1- By downloading the “Tbilisi Parking” app to your phone, making a registration and then a payment. But it only works for local ID-s. no foreign ID-s accepted
(App Store, Google Play).
2- Through the official website – https://parking.tbilisi.gov.ge

Prices
Hourly parking zones: Zone A – 1GEL/hour; Zone B – 2GEL/hour; Zone C – 3GEL/hour
The zone letter and price are always indicated on the sign under the [P] sign.
For these zones, there also are long-term passes: Daily – 20GEL / Weekly – 100GEL / Monthly – GEL
Areas with Subscription Payment Parking
At such areas The sign [P] is NOT followed by a sign indicating zone number and hourly rate.
Only a set of signs that indicate parking permission and how to park.
All cars from CARS4RENT come with prepaid subscriptions. Feel free to park in those areas.

Prices: 1 week – 4GEL; 6 months – 25GEL; 1 year – 50GEL

Fees apply throughout the city, there are no zones but are calculated by hours or days.
Rates: 1 hour – 0.5GEL; 1–3 hours – 1GEL; 1 day – 2GEL; 7 days – 5GEL; 30 days – 10GEL, etc.
You can pay at payment terminals outside, banks, online systems, or official website parkingservice.ge
We recommend getting the parking ticket for the amount of days you plan to stay in Kutaisi and forgetting about it unless you overstay.
Parking Attendants
At a car park, you most likely will be approached by a stranger (usually in reflective vests with traffic wands) – so called parking attendants. They are volunteers who help drivers park their cars and watch them while drivers are gone.
Technically you are not obliged to pay them, but to avoid stress and conflict they are usually tipped. Adequate amount would be a couple laris, no more. If they ask for more you should refuse, because some like to abuse confused and unaware tourists.
If Car Got Towed
Your car can be towed in Georgia if it’s left in a disabled parking spot without a permit, in an area marked as no-parking, in a paid zone without payment for more than 12 hours, or if it blocks traffic. If your car is suddenly missing, it’s almost always because it was towed—not stolen.
What to do is straightforward:
Contact the local parking service first. If they can’t provide information, call 112 and ask where the car was taken. Go to the tow yard by taxi, collect the penalty notice, and pay the fine at a bank. Bring your passport, the vehicle registration, and the payment slip back to the yard to retrieve the car.
It’s best to pick it up the same day—after 24 hours, an extra daily storage fee of 10 GEL is added
